tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born 27 February 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 years with the National Football League. Considered to be one of the most outstanding tight ends of all time He is the NFL's all-time leading player in receptions and receiving yards by a tight end, as well as ranked third overall in receiving. Gonzalez was a part of the first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who chose him in the initial round of the 1997 NFL Draft. In his final five seasons the team was part of the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has been an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously with CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with fourteen Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and the second-highest in league history and also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was famous for his toughness and the ability to not lose a ball. He appeared in 272 of 270 regular-season games and had only two fumbles in 1,327 total touches. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
